that physical fitness aids mental alertness, strives to provide its students
with facilities for a variety of sports. More information about sportive

Social
activities in Turkish Naval Academy are designed for the enjoyment of students
and to develop new and existing interests. Throughout the academic year,
students, academic and administrative staff can enjoy art exhibitions, concerts,
and theater events as well as variety of academic (conferences, meetings,
symposiums and seminars etc.) events. These events are held on Cinema Hall
located just contrary to the library.
New movies are shown every week for the students and the faculty members in the Campus Theater.
There are two Officers' Club buildings located near the beach providing a variety of entertainment and an enjoyable atmosphere at an affordable price. Guests who come to the Club enjoy the lively mixture of services offered. There also special entertainment organisations on special days like New Year's Day or Valantine's day etc.
There are two cafeterias one for the Turkish Naval Science and Engineering Institute -graduate- students and the other for cadets. They both provide a comfortable and informal atmosphere in which the students can meet friends and relax after class. Snacks, beverages and hot meals are served at reasonable prices.
Other social facilities are: Post Office, Bank, PastryTea seller (summer period), Barber shop, Hairdresser for the lady, Laundry, Dry Cleaner, Supermarket, Fruit Seller, etc...
People in the summer can enjoy the beauty of ocean by swimming in the shores of the school. Swimming with a cost of walking tens of meters from the residence is a great please. In summer it is able to swim in the sea. Besides that there is an open air movie theater.
Students can enyoy the glory of Istanbul by spending 1 - 1.5 hours for transportation. Details of transportation are shown in here
