In Turkish Naval Academy varsity team activities take place after the courses under the supervision of the both civilian and military coaching staff. Varsity teams, the members of which are completely midshipmen, participates in competitions with the following branches:

   Tracking - Swimming - Basketball - Soccer - Volleyball - Handball - Tennis - Ping-Pong - Orienteering - Triathlon - Sailing - Yatching - Naval Pentathlon - Diving - Chees - Water Polo - Rifle and Pistol - Jump - Rowing

   These are the most important branches. Midshipmen participates into various national, international, formal and informal competitions.

A. Sportive Activities Conducted With Civilian Teams And Organizations :

    These activities include competitions organized by the National Youth and Sports Organization, the Turkish Soccer Federation, College Intermurals, Organizations by Turkish National Olympic Committee and other competitions and sportive festivities.

B. Sportive Activities Conducted With Military Teams And Organizations :

    These competitions include all those that have a special status and participated by military commands and organizations. Some of these competitions are:

(1). Turkish Armed Forces Intermurals ( Interservice Competitions):

    These include all competitions and organizations that are participated by all branches of the Turkish Armed Forces , Army, Navy, Air Force and Gendarme.

(2). Service Academy Intermurals :

    These competitions are conducted traditionally each year in May with the participation of the Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air- Force Academy and Gülhane Military Medical Academy .

(3). Committee of International Sportive Activities for Militaries(CISM) Competitions:

    These competitions including all those International, Intercontinental and regional competitions organized by CISM, the members of which includes over 100 military services of different countries, function in order to promote friendship, team work and comradery

(4). International Nautical Competition among the Naval Academies :

    This competition is conducted each year in November with the participation of 10-15 Foreign Naval Academies as a part of celebrations for the founding of Turkish Naval Academy.

(5). Naval Commands Intermurals (Chief of the Navy Competitions) :

    These include all those competitions and organizations that are participated by all the branches, Fleet Command, Northern Sea Command, Southern Sea Command and Naval Education and Training Command, that functions directly under the Bureau of the Chief of the Navy.

(6). Naval Education and Tarining Command Intermurals :

    These include all the competitions participated by Turkish Naval Academy, Naval High School, Naval Enlisted Preparation and Warfare Schools, which function under the Commander of Naval Education and Training Command.
