A BEHAVIOR OF TRUST IN LEADER AND INFLUENCE ON THE AFFECTIVE COMMITMENT

The mutual trust between leaders and subordinates is compulsory. If this mutual trust does not exist in a unit, members will question directives from leaders, take actions to protect their own interest and look for excuses to avoid carring out orders. Therefore, leaders need to know how to create trust to attain a success.

In this research, which attitudes of leaders creat a perception of trust in subordinate and determines affective commitment and whether the level of trust in leader influences on the affective commitment were researched.

According to the result of statistical analyses, it was found that the attitudes of openness, promise fulfillment, fairness, competence, loyalty, integrity and discreetness creat a perception of trust and self esteem, consistency, availability and receptivity improve the affective commitment.

It wasn’t found a specific result whether the level of overall trust in leader influences on the affective commitment.
