TRANSITIONING TO LEARNING ORGANIZATION CULTURE
Keywords Organizational Learning, Learning Organization, Organizational CultureThe first step of cultural change and transitioning process in organizations is the determination of current situation. In this research, the characteristics of learning organizations and current and preferred organizational culture was determined as the primary step of transitioning to learning organization culture. This study has four chapters. In the first chapter, the purpose and the significance of the study are defined. The second chapter is about the concept and characteristics of organizational learning, learning organizations and organizational culture. The third chapter is consisted of research model, sample, assumptions and limitations, instruments and hypotheses. In the fourth chapter, analysis of the data obtained by the research and finally in the fifth chapter results are took place.
At the end of the study, it was determined that the organization has characteristics of learning organization at low level. The current organizational culture model is the Power-oriented. The preferred organizational culture is the Achievement-oriented.
There is difference of existing perceptions of organizational culture between organizational units. Participants were grouped in two in accordance with the time they spend in the organization. Statistically significant difference was determined between these two groups.
