JOURNAL OF NAVAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING PUBLISHING RULES

Submission of Papers: Submission of a paper implies that it is has not been published previously, it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and that if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same from, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the publisher. Authors are requested to submit an electronic copy of their original works to given e-mail address below.
All works must be prepared in English.

Types of Contributions: Original papers, review articles; technical notes; short communications; book reviews; letters to the editor; extended reports of conferences and meetings.

Manuscript Preparation

General : Manuscripts must be prepared in MS Word, single-spaced with justify. Font: Times New Roman 12 points. Margins: left 4.5cm., right 3.5 cm, top 5.5 cm and bottom 7 cm. header 3.25 cm. footer 6 cm. gutter 0. Paper type: A4. Numbers should be on the middle of bottom of page with 1,2,3 etc format.

The information about authors should be prepared separately from main text and should include;

Title

Name of authors
Authors' associations
postal address
e-mail of the authors

Body of Text: Follow this order when typing manuscripts: Title, Authors, Abstract, Keywords, Main text, Appendix (if any), References, Authors' short bios.

Title: Title should reflect objectives of the paper clearly and should be easily understandable, should not exceed 12 words.

Abstracts: Each paper should have an abstract with 100-150 words, reporting concisely on the purpose and results of the paper.

Paper Length: The size of the manuscript should not exceed 10 printed pages.

Keywords: Author must provide some keywords (between 3 and 10) that will be used to classify the paper.

Units: The SI system should be used for all scientific and laboratory data.

References: Referring to references should be in the text by using reference numbers in parenthesis (for example: [2]). Using footnotes for references is not allowed.

List of References: Publications cited in the text should only be presented in a list of references following the text of the manuscript. References should be listed according to their orders in which they are cited in the manuscript, i.e., [1] cited first, [2] cited next, and so on.  Examples:

Abbreviations and Acronyms: Standard abbreviations and acronyms should be used for each related discipline. Acronyms should be identified at the first occurrence in the text. Abbreviations and acronyms may also be attached to main text as an appendix.

Equations and Formulas: Equations and formulas should be numbered consecutively.  These numbers must be shown within parenthesis which are aligned to right.

Figures and Tables: Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively. In the text refer to figures and tables should be made by typing “Figure 1” or “Table 1” etc. A suitable title should be assigned to each figure and table and this title must be separately listed with their reference numbers.

Copyright: Authors are responsible for obtaining permission from the copyright owner (usually the publisher) to use any quotations, illustrations, or tables from another source. The Journal of Naval Sciences and Engineering does not accept any responsibility if authors did not follow Copyright Law requirements.  Authors submitting articles to the Journal agree that if accepted, copyright of the article, including the right of reproduction in all forms and media, will belong exclusively to the Journal.

Evaluation Process: All manuscripts are reviewed and forwarded to peer review committee if manuscripts match with journal's minimum publishing rules. At least two members of peer review committee evaluate submitted works and send their reports to editorial board. If editorial board receives any recommendation on evaluated papers from peer review committee, it may require necessary revision from
